Olive Brixham opened in August 2023 bringing a unique dining style to this beautiful area of South West England. The Olive Brixham team have put together a mouth-watering selection of authentic Mediterranean dishes to please almost any palate, celebrating cuisine from several countries including Italy, Spain, The French Riviera, Morocco and Greece.
Before opening, the Olive Brixham management team spent many months meticulously sourcing some of the best world wines for price and quality to offer their customers. Their wine list is informative yet simple, removing the complications and pretentiousness that some customers feel about selecting wine when they are dining out. There is an extensive 265 wines to choose from on their wine list, covering all styles of wine and grape varieties, satisfying even the most learned palates! Careful not leave out those less informed on wine, every dish in the food menu has a recommended wine, so you can also feel at ease if they are unsure what to select.
It was critical to the concept of having such a broad and wonderful wine selection, that customers had the opportunity to try some of the amazing wines on offer before deciding which wine to choose. From our early discussions, we quickly agreed that a 16-bottle WineEmotion system would offer Olive Brixham the opportunity of offering smaller wine tastes at 50ml across 16 specially selected bottles, but also provide staff with a quick and effective solution to pouring their wine by the glass offerings during busy service periods. This ensures the wines on offer by the glass are preserved perfectly and automatically dispensed with minimal effort by staff.
A regular wine by the glass rotation policy keeps the selection current and fresh, providing regular customers with more interesting and unusual wines outside of their normal boundaries. Unique to Olive Brixham is their interactive bar where customers can go behind the bar and use the WineEmotion system with their own pre-paid wine card. This allows staff and customers to interact seamlessly, creating a wonderful self-serve and interactive wine tasting experience for visitors.
